Announcing THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL, a Dungeons & Dragons Podcast About Politics!
The country of Darnorth is approaching election season. Our heroes are travelling from constituency to constituency, campaigning for the Fable Party and having adventures whilst doing it. Want to know what people feel about education for trolls? Ever tried to convince a neo-liberalist dragon to change their mind about economic policies? Concerned about the way magic is automating jobs and leaving people unemployed? This may be the podcast for you!
Written by author and Dungeon Master Joel Cornah (The Sea-Sword Stone), The Campaign Trail will consist of hour-ish long episodes released weekly. Joel has created a riveting and character driven narrative for this podcast, as well as an intricate mechanic for how to simulate elections using D20s.
Joel will be joined by authors Joanne Hall (The Summer Goddess) and Steven Poore (Heir to the North), and aspiring writer Aym Maidment (no published fiction… Yet!). Jo will be playing Tilda, a halfling ranger who believes in equality for all, Steve is playing Pelicos the Various, a human rogue, who takes on numerous names depending on what the situation needs, and Aym will be bringing Daeryth Moonbeam, a half-elf bard with a chip on their shoulder, to the table.
Release date: The pilot episode of The Campaign Trail will be launched on 28th April 2019. Which, you may notice, is Ed Balls Day. What better way to celebrate?
