THE GREATWOOD PORTAL by Dorian Hart – COVER REVEAL
We’re delighted to present the cover for book three in Dorian Hart’s HEROES OF SPIRA series: THE GREATWOOD PORTAL!
The books have been described as ‘classic fantasy done right’, and this cover certainly seems to epitomise that!
Here’s what Dorian had to say about the artist:
‘I have always been a big fan of Gareth Hinds – a fellow best known for his graphic novel adaptations of Greek epics and the works of Shakespeare. I’ve been delighted with his work on the covers for the Heroes of Spira; his lovely paintings evoke a feeling of “old school” classic fantasy, which is exactly what I’m writing! Each one depicts a scene from the story inside, and I think they do a great job of instilling a feeling of “Cool, I can’t wait to get to that scene and find out what’s happening.” The first two—for The Ventifact Colossus and The Crosser’s Maze—signal that you’re getting an ensemble cast. The cover you see here, for The Greatwood Portal, shows Tor doing ferocious battle with [spoiler redacted] while Aravia sits serenely as she [even bigger spoiler redacted].’
And here’s the official blurb for The Greatwood Portal:
The end of the world is a week away, and only Horn’s Company can stop it. All they have to do is find and rescue Ivellios, who’s been kidnapped by the Black Circle to fulfill their prophecy of freeing the all-powerful Naradawk Skewn from his prison world.
Meanwhile, Morningstar must ready her team of Ellish dream warriors to battle the vicious Aktallian Dreamborn, who continues to harass Abernathy and the archmagi. And Aravia must master the Crosser’s Maze, the most powerful and complex magical artifact ever created.
What could go wrong?
According to the goblin shaman Irligg, Horn’s Company is destined both to succeed and to fail in their quest to save the world of Spira. Kibi always says there’s no such thing as destiny, but as the forces of Charagan prepare for Naradawk’s invasion, there’s a hidden thumb on the scales of fate…
The Greatwood Portal is scheduled for release on August 15th 2019. You can pre-order it here, and add it to your Goodreads shelves here.
