SORCERY OF A QUEEN by Brian Naslund – COVER REVEAL
We’re so excited to have the privilege of revealing the UK cover for Sorcery of a Queen by Brian Naslund, which is to be published by Tor later this year! This is the sequel to Brian’s fantastic debut Blood of an Exile which was released last year.
Here’s the official blurb for Sorcery of a Queen:
Dragon-slayers don’t expect to survive to retirement age, but Bershad has unexpectedly thrived. Yet this very notoriety may be his downfall. This is book two of this epic, adventurous fantasy trilogy.
Change is coming – but will they survive the storm?
After the revelations in Blood of an Exile, Bershad and his crew are poised on a knife-edge. And they can only hope they have the strength to face the dangers in store. While Bershad continues to hide a life-changing secret, Ashlyn must grapple with her newfound power – one which could have shattering consequences. But a storm is gathering on the horizon . . .
A foreign emperor is raising an army, equipped with a terrifying assortment of new weaponry. He will stop at nothing to crush the kingdom and claim its prized dragons. And worst of all – he wants Bershad.
Sorcery of a Queen by Brian Naslund is the second book in the Dragons of Terra trilogy.
Gah, this sounds so awesome, doesn’t it?! Well, without further ado, here’s the cover!

Here’s Brian’s thoughts on the cover:
“I absolutely love this cover for Sorcery of a Queen! The sharp blue coloring makes for a great contrast with the dark background and gold lettering, plus it denotes Ashlyn’s power. I also love the detail of the crown, which gives a naturalistic vibe that fits perfectly with both Ashlyn’s character and Almira in general. I can’t wait to see it on my shelf next to Blood of an Exile.”
And if you want an extra bit of teasing, here’s what Brian had to say about what readers can expect in his highly anticipated sequel:
“In Sorcery of a Queen, each character must grapple with violent changes, both from the governments and armies of the world, but also from within. I can’t offer too many details without wandering into spoiler territory, but this story was a blast to write and I can’t wait to share it with everyone!”
We absolutely can’t wait to read it! Thank you, Brian.
Sorcery of a Queen is released 6th August 2020. So start preordering, folks!
Blood of an Exile was terrific. I’m looking forward to book two.
Blood of an Exile was one of my favourite books last year. Book two sounds great. I hope you enjoy it when it’s out!
