THREADING THE LABYRINTH by Tiffani Angus – COVER REVEAL

Hi! I’m Tiffani Angus and I’m thrilled to reveal the cover for my debut novel Threading the Labyrinth.

When asked what the book is about, my shorthand answer is Tom’s Midnight Garden or Children of Green Knowe for adults, but there’s more to it than that. It’s about 400 years in a garden that has held on to time and wants someone to tend it, to keep it—and its inhabitants—safe from destruction. The story was inspired by things I love: walled gardens, time travel, sixteenth-century gardening books, ghost stories, Pre-Raphaelite art, Julia Margaret Cameron’s photographs, Land Girls, family histories, and so many other things I can’t list here.

The cover was designed by winner of the British Fantasy Award for Best Artist 2019, Vince Haig. Threading’s stories are mainly about the women who work and live in the garden over the centuries, their tasks and relationships and how those things repeat, a theme that is represented here in the circle motifs. Its botanical drawings and detail of a garden plan, reminiscent of those from the 18th century, are a peek into the layers of time that the novel threads together.

Threading the Labyrinth is available for pre-order from Amazon (paperback in the UK only, eBook (soon) worldwide), Waterstones and Blackwells, and will be published April 13, 2020.
