OF BLOOD AND FIRE by Ryan Cahill (COVER REVEAL)

We’re very excited today to be taking part in the cover reveal for Ryan Cahill’s Of Blood and Fire which after being a self published success is now being published in hardback by The Broken Binding on 17th February 2026

Before we look at the cover in more detail, let’s see what the book is all about.

Born in fire. Tempered in blood.

Epheria is a land divided by war and mistrust. The High Lords of the South squabble and fight, only kept in check by the Dragonguard, traitors of a time long past, who serve the empire of the North. In the remote villages of southern Epheria, still reeling from the tragic loss of his brother, Calen Bryer prepares for The Proving – a test of courage and skill that not all survive. But when three strangers arrive in the village of Milltown, with a secret they are willing to die for, Calen’s world is ripped from under him and he is thrust headfirst into a war that has been raging for centuries. There is no prophecy. His coming was not foretold. He bleeds like any man, and bleed he will.

This is a classic epic fantasy of old, but told with a modern narrative featuring high stakes adventure with dragons, dwarves, gods and magic!

And it sounds fantastic! Now without further ado, here’s the cover!

Wow, now that is stunning!

I’ll leave you now with a few words from Ryan himself along with praise for the book.

“There are not enough superlatives in the English language to pour over Tom Roberts for what he has created in this new cover for Of Blood and Fire. It captures the pure essence of the story in a beautiful way while paying homage to the original cover – not to mention it is absolutely stunning. Working with Tom and The Broken Binding on this piece of art has been incredible. I wanted something showstopping, something special for readers to hold in their hands – Tom delivered a hundred times over.”

‘Of Blood and Fire is truly the start of something grand. An epic ride filled with dragons, magic, and characters to cherish and hate. The Bound and The Broken should be your next dragon rider fantasy obsession’ – Petrik Leo, Novel Notions (43k YouTube Subscribers)

‘A modern fantasy epic. I simply couldn’t put it down’ – Shauna Lawless

‘Of Blood and Fire swept me away’ – John Gwynne

Ryan Cahill is the award-winning author of the bestselling epic fantasy series, The Bound and The Broken.

Born and raised in Ireland, Ryan now resides amongst the rolling hills and hobbit holes of Middle-Earth, New Zealand. He does not own enough swords, would sell his left kidney for a dragon egg, and despises mushrooms in all their eldritch forms.

There are three things Ryan has always told himself about writing. Write the books you want to read. Write the books that your younger self would be proud of you for reading. Make sure they have dragons.
