Dragon’s Price by Daniel Potter – COVER REVEAL
Three years ago I published my first book, Off Leash. I was happy with the story, but I struggled to describe it clearly to readers. It was not until recently that I managed to boil the concept down to a simple tagline: An urban fantasy starring a mountain lion. Sometimes the simplest descriptions intrigue the most. As I began work on my second series, I swore to myself that it would be easier to explain. And it is: Sky pirates vs. Dragons!
See? Simple. Intriguing. You get it. When I tell almost anyone the concept, they lean forward and ask ‘oh?’ Fantasy fans already love sky ships and dragons separately. A world with both has the potential to be a huge, complex and beautiful thing. Everyone want’s to know more, and I’m eager to share.
With the cover of Dragon’s Price, part 1 of Rise of the Horned Serpent, Radovan Zivkovic captures the “sky pirates vs. dragons” concept beautifully. A huge, regal dragon menaces the deck of a ship. Our pair of heroines are turning towards the threat to face it head on; one readies a sword, while the other fires from a hand cannon. Yet despite their actions, the dragon isn’t phased. You know the odds are not on the pirates’ side, but as our heroes, they will persevere. I love how active this cover is and hope to answer that promise on the pages of the book. So without further ado, the cover reveal of Dragon’s Price:
Dragon’s Price will be released in November 2018.
