THAT’S RIGHT

The third and final instalment in Quenby Olson’s beloved Miss Percy series has a cover, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Before we do, let’s find out what’s waiting in store for us…

Miss Mildred Percy has no wish to go to London.

Unfortunately, her niece, Belinda, has recently absconded from Nyth y Ddraig with 1) a newly-hatched white dragon, 2) over a dozen (unhatched) dragon eggs, and 3) an extraordinary surfeit of hubris. All clues lead to London, and so Mildred and company have no choice but to follow her to town.

But retrieving a hoard of dragon eggs in the middle of a vast city is no easy task, especially when confronted with such impediments as journalism, pelicans, and a certain Prince Regent. Now Mildred must do everything in her power to return the stolen eggs to Wales — before they hatch! — and finally carve out the life for herself she has always wanted.

Miss Percy’s Definitive Guide to the Restoration of Dragons is due for release 8th August 2024. You can find out more on Quenby’s website, and you can pre-order on: Amazon.com | Amazon.co.uk

And now, for the cover…

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel quite emotional seeing the last Miss Percy adventure!

Let’s hear from Quenby herself:

The cover art was done by Mon Macairap. The cover design was done by K.S. Villoso. They have both done the cover art and design for the entire Miss Percy series, and I am so thrilled that I was able to work with them for all three books, because it makes the trilogy feel so complete.
I love this cover so much because the white dragon pictured is one you only meet for a short while at the end of Miss Percy’s Travel Guide to Welsh Moors and Feral Dragons, and to see it now with chains and a clearly unhappy (VERY UNHAPPY) expression says so much about its treatment while in a certain character’s (it’s Belinda, we all know it’s Belinda) care. We’re also finishing up the story in London, and after two books of small villages and rural travel, I adore the shake up for the characters now having to navigate busy streets and parks and royalty after hiking through mountains and sleeping outdoors.

Miss Percy’s Definitive Guide to the Restoration of Dragons is due for release 8th August 2024.

Down on the South West coast of Wales is a woman juggling bookselling, reading, writing and parenting. Maybe if she got her arse off Twitter for long enough, Beth might actually get more done. Surrounded by rugged coastline, dramatic castles and rolling countryside, Beth loves nothing more than shutting her door on all that and curling up with a cuppa and a book instead. Her favourite authors include Jen Williams, Anna Stephens and Joe Abercrombie; her favourite castles include Kidwelly, Carreg Cennen and Pembroke.
