THE RAVEN AND THE REINDEER by T. Kingfisher (COVER REVEAL)
Fans of the Fantasy Hive will know how much we love T. Kingfisher here, so you can imagine how thrilled we are to share an exclusive cover reveal from Titan Books for her upcoming novel THE RAVEN AND THE REINDEER.
Described as a darkly magical retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen,” perfect for fans of Ava Reid and Katherine Arden.
This title was previously published with a small press in the US but this will be its first UK publication and we’re thrilled to bring it to audiences over here with a beautiful new cover and sprayed edges on the first print run.
THE RAVEN AND THE REINDEER
Gerta has been in love with her neighbor, Kay, for as long as she can remember. Kay thinks Gerta is…fine.
When Kay is stolen away by the mysterious Snow Queen, it’s up to Gerta to find him. Her journey will take her through a dangerous land of snow and witchcraft, spirit roads and shape-shifters. Accompanied by a talking raven and a strangely entrancing bandit girl named Janna, Gerta travels further north than north to confront the Snow Queen and rescue Kay.
The journey will be dangerous, but the unpredictable currents of her own heart might be the most frightening thing of all.
The Raven and the Reindeer is due for release 1st September 2026 from Titan Books – you can pre-order your copy on Bookshop.org
We absolutely cannot wait for another of T. Kingfisher’s takes on fairy tales!

Author Bio: T. Kingfisher is the vaguely absurd pen name author Ursula Vernon uses when writing for adults. As Kingfisher, she has won the Hugo, Nebula, Locus and Dragon Awards, including the Hugo for Best Novel for her book Nettle & Bone. When she is not writing, she is probably out in the garden, trying to make eye contact with butterflies.
